Recently, the shipping market has witnessed a wave of price adjustments. Hapag-lloyd, CMA, Maersk and other shipping companies have announced in June will adjust the rate of some routes, covering South America, the Mediterranean, Africa, the Middle East and many other routes. Earlier, a number of headship companies had also released their fare adjustment plans for June.
Hapag-lloyd raises combined rates for Far East to South America routes
On 20 May, Hapag-lloyd announced an increase in the combined rate (GRI) from the Far East to South America East, effective 1 June 2025. Increase of $500 per TEU to $2,900 until further notice.
CMA CGM adjusts FAK rates for Asia to Mediterranean Haibei routes
On May 15, Delta announced that the new FAK rates will be applied from Asia to the Mediterranean and Haibei regions from June 1 to June 14, 2025.
Air France imposes surcharges for the high season from the Far East to Mauritius and Madagascar
On May 14, CMA CGM announced that from June 1, 2025, all goods from the Far East to Mauritius and Madagascar will be subject to the Peak Season Surcharge (PSS).
Maersk imposes peak season surcharge from eastern / southern China to Pakistan
Maersk announced that from June 1, 2025, goods from East / South China, Hong Kong, China and other regions to Pakistan will be levied Peak Season Surcharge (PSS), US $500 per TEU.
Maersk imposes peak season surcharge for Eastern / Southern China to Middle East and South Asia
Also from June 1, 2025, Maersk will impose a peak season surcharge (PSS) of $200 per TEU for goods from Eastern / Southern China, Hong Kong, China to the Middle East and South Asia until further notice.
Recently, the US Line exploded, and ship companies have moved capacity from other routes to the US Line, causing the explosion and the price increase effect to affect all routes, and various routes are contemplating price increases. However, subsequent increases and landing conditions remain to be seen. We remind shippers with recent shipment plans to pay close attention to changes in freight rates, communicate with customers ahead of time and make good shipment plans, so as not to affect the timely shipment of goods.
