1. Why Fumigation?
Wood packaging fumigation is a compulsory measure to prevent harmful pests from harming the forest resources of the importing country. Therefore, export goods containing wood packaging must be treated with wood packaging before shipment, and fumigation is a way of pest treatment.
2. Required fumigation (disinfection) of the type of wood packaging?
Generally refers to the material used for packaging, bedding, support and reinforcement of goods. Such as wooden cases, wooden crates, wooden pallets, wooden barns, wooden barrels, wooden cushions, sleepers, wooden liners, wooden shafts, wooden casters, etc. Logs should be fumigated and marked with IPPC.
3. What are the fumigation methods?
There are two ways of fumigation: the use of drugs and heat treatment. General use of drug treatment: methyl bromide, ethylene oxide.
