SABER certification refers to a conformity certification assessment program for non-Saudi local companies (ie, companies exporting to Saudi Arabia). It is an upgraded version based on the original SASO certification and a new certification and accreditation program that replaces the "SASO certification".
Note: From January 15, 2020, "SABER certification" will completely replace the old "SASO certification", and all products must be certified by SABER to clear customs smoothly. According to SABER certification requirements, products will adopt different compliance inspection procedures according to high, medium and low risk categories. agency implementation.
In the SABER certification process, the product must first apply for the PC certificate, and apply for the SC certificate for each batch of products when shipping. Mainly divided into two stages, the first stage of PC certificate (Product Certification) application, the importer registers the SABER system account, enters the application information into the SABER system, the importer selects a certification agency in the SABER system, and the certification agency receives the application. Contact the exporter to provide certification documents, and the issuing agency submits the approved documents to the SABER system, and issues a PC certificate. The certificate is valid for one year. The second stage of SC certificate (Shipment Certification) application, the importer submits the SC application through the SABER system; after the issuing agency confirms the validity of the PC certificate, the importer pays the SC certification fee and issues the SC certificate. The certificate is only for this batch of imported goods. .
