China's May CPI rises to 0.2 percent year-on-year

 

 

Recently, according to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics, China's consumer price index (CPI) rose 0.2 percent in May from a year earlier, up 0.1 percentage points from the previous month, but still the second lowest since March 2021; factory prices of industrial products (PPI) fell 4.6 percent year-on-year, an increase of 1.0 percentage points from the previous month, the lowest since March 2016.
