European Union

On February 16, the European Union reached a consensus at a meeting to phase out new coronavirus testing measures for passengers from China. The decision was also endorsed by non-EU Schengen members Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland.

Italy

Since February 1, Italy no longer has mandatory nucleic acid testing for passengers from China, but has changed to "random testing".

Switzerland

The Swiss Federal Office of Public Health said in a statement on January 11 that the Omicjon strain currently circulating in China poses little risk to the Swiss population and health system and that there is no need to require passengers from China to undergo mandatory testing for the new coronavirus.

Austria

Since March 1, Austria will no longer require passengers from China to show a negative nucleic acid test certificate before boarding the plane, and will no longer check the test report after arriving in Austria.

Malta

Malta has lifted the special epidemic prevention requirements for mainland Chinese nationals from China since February 27. Airlines will no longer require a negative antigen test certificate within 48 hours or a negative nucleic acid test certificate within 72 hours from China to Malta.
