On May 31, Maersk issued an announcement on its official website, announcing that its TP20 US East route service will officially end in the next few weeks.

The service was originally designed to complement service between Asia and the East Coast of the United States. However, due to the ongoing deterioration of the current situation in the Red Sea, including transportation delays and capacity constraints, Maersk has decided to discontinue the TP20 service and restructure its route network to better adapt and meet the needs of its customers.

Here are some details about the last voyage on the TP20 route:

Last voyage from Asia:
Voyage 424E BSG Barbados ETD Shanghai 13 June 2024

Last voyage from North America:

Voyage 429W BSG Barbados ETD Newark 17 July 2024

To ensure continued coverage of these markets following the discontinuation of the TP20 route, Maersk will offer its customers alternative options to ensure continuity of service.
