According to the Georgian government website, on September 11, Georgian Prime Minister Garibashvili announced at a government meeting that Chinese citizens would be granted visa-free treatment.Garibashvili stressed the importance of tourism to Georgia, noting that the country received $3.5 billion million in direct income from tourism last year and is expected to earn more this year. He stressed the importance of attracting more tourists to Georgia and strengthening economic and trade relations with China."My visit to China was very successful. China is the second largest and strongest economy in the world today. Strengthening economic and trade ties with China, attracting more Chinese investment, and welcoming more Chinese tourists to Georgia are our primary interests, and my visit also serves these goals. We have decided to implement a visa-free system for Chinese citizens from today.I will issue the relevant decree later today. The move is significant because it will provide a strong incentive for more tourists to explore Georgia. Chinese tourists are widely regarded as one of the most popular tourists in the world. In addition, we have opened direct flights. During the visit, I had fruitful discussions with the Chinese Premier on tourism and flight arrangements. I want to emphasize the effectiveness of the Chinese government and its system. Our goal is to expand direct flights to China. We are eager to welcome not only more tourists from China, but also more tourists from other countries." I have to say that this is great news for the Chinese people. It will be much more convenient for you to go to Ge for business or travel in the future.
